Four local organizations that keep residents active and engaged in their community will benefit from $22,625 in Community Gaming Grants from the Ministry of Community, Sport, and Cultural Development.

Organizations Receiving Grants:

  • Sun Bowl Figure Skating Club (Osoyoos) – $9,625
  • International Curling Club (Osoyoos) – $4,500
  • Boundary Figure Skating Club (Midway) – $3,500
  • Grand Forks & District Fall Fair (Grand Forks) – $5,000

Additional information:

  • Community Gaming Grants allow non-profit organizations to apply for provincial gaming revenues.
  • Last fiscal year, in 2012/13, our government distributed a total of $135 million in gaming grants for eligible community programs and services.
  • Approximately 5,300 community groups benefited from funding during 2012/13.
